Stash Early Access – Frequently Asked Questions

This page is a work in progress. We will add information here over time throughout early access.

Q: Something broke, doesn’t work right, or doesn’t work how I’d expect. What do I do?

A: Please submit a bug report or support ticket. This is our primary method of resolving issues and planning fixes.

Please provide as much detail as possible as well as any relevant screenshots.

Q: How do I take a screenshot?

A: Press ALT+P and a screenshot will be saved to your computer with the file location copied to your clipboard for easy copy and paste.

In Windows, the directory will most likely be something like this:

C:\Users\WindowsUserName\Documents\Frogdice\Stash\CharacterName\

Q: How do I get started?

A:

help

  • Tutorial Videos coming soon!

Q: Why no tutorial?

A: We will eventually have a full in-game tutorial. But with many features potentially changing, we don’t want to invest the resources into a tutorial that would have to get completely dumped.

Q: How do I heal? (also: How do I regen mana?)

A:

  • Food is your primary source of healing. You can only use it out of combat. Food is also how you raise your stats.
  • Healers. Be one or have one in your party.
  • Potions. Use them from inventory or equip them on your USE ITEM bar (shift+A then choose Use Items from drop down).
  • Campsites. Grab campsite materials from the Medallion Shop (buy with triads or medallions). Regen naturally while in a camp. Your whole party can share the camp.
  • Coming Soon: Rolling Stone Inn: a tavern in Askagard. A social gathering place.

Q: There is no automatic regen in my BOO. Will there ever be?

A: For both social, community, and game economy reasons, we are very cautious about “free regen” in your BOO. We have considered a powerful magical hearth item you may be able to add to your BOO to create natural regen in your BOO.

Regen is very powerful. We wanted it to have a cost (food, potions, camp materials) or at least have a social benefit (gathering in the Rolling Stone Inn).

We are being cautious on this topic due to the effect “free healing” can have on the economy and social community. We are also trying to capture some of the charm of pen and paper games where to heal up you’d need to make camp which carried with it a little bit of danger from surprise encounters.

None of this is set in stone currently. This is early access. We are gathering data and observing play experiences to make sure the game is fun as well as social with a good in-game economy.

We will eventually have a full in-game tutorial. But with many features potentially changing, we don’t want to invest the resources into a tutorial that would have to get completely dumped.

Q: Sometimes a combat ends leaving behind a resource node I didn’t harvest. How do I get it?

A: You have to make a decision whether you are willing to harvest it while the combat is still engaged. That means you either take hits from the enemies or need a party to hold them back while you harvest the node.

There are nodes in the overworld that are safer to harvest. Nodes in combat must be harvested during the heat of battle. That’s the trade off and the decision you have to make.
