Michael A. Hartman, President & CEO of Frogdice, Inc., won both the judges and audience award at 5 Across. This is the first time in the history of the competition that someone has won both.

Entrepreneurial Beauty Pageant

Frogdice was chosen as one of the 5 companies to participate in 5 Across – a pitch contest for companies seeking investment. Some refer to it as “Lexington’s Own Shark Tank.”

Being selected for this event is a great honor and we are excited for the opportunity to share information about our company with the local investment community.

The winner of the competition receives a small cash prize and, more importantly, some great publicity for their company. We will do our best to represent the gaming industry and try to come out of this competition victorious.

A talent show that means business.

Primordiax is officially live. There will be no more player account wipes. We have another month or two of updates we want to complete before we fully market the game. But those of you that have been desperately waiting for a chance to get started, now is the time!

Primordiax ends its last test phase and begins to prepare for Open Beta, scheduled in November of 2009.

Frogdice has joined in an ongoing partnership with the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program to raise awareness about domestic violence. During the month of May 2009, a portion of all purchases will be donated to the BDVP.

We are also planning to collect toys, clothing, and other supplies at our annual convention (ThreshCon) this summer. These items will be donated to the BDVP. Literature on domestic violence will be made available at the convention as well.

This issue resonates with us at Frogdice because of our almost 50% female customer base and the fact that many of our customers have used our community to escape domestic abuse situations.

We are very excited about this partnership and look forward to working with this charity more in the future.

Michael Hartman and Wanwisa Hartman were invited to host a roundtable at the Independent MMO Game Developer’s Conference (IMGDC). The topic of the roundtable was “Text Games: We’re not dead yet!” The roundtable was one of the most heavily attended at the conference, and it received rave reviews. Michael and Wanwisa Hartman have been invited back next year to host another roundtable.
